St Clara’s church was built by the Franciscan Friars in 1781 following the Baroque style, but was burnt down several times by the Marathas. But they never gave up and the church was rebuilt as many times it had been destroyed. The Church is well known for its Friday inner healing sessions and any people visit this place in need of blessings from above. The church of St Clara has five altars, one of which is dedicated to Santa Clara. Even the surrounding is very unique and good o photographic purposes.
