Less than 2 kms south of Colva is the tranquil beach of Benaulim village. It is one of the few places in Goa where one can glimpse handicrafts typical to this area. The best of the traditional rosewood furniture is made here. Also Benaulim is famous as the place where the legendary Parashuram’s arrow landed, by which Goa was created. The place is also special for Christians as it’s the birth place of the first Saint of Goa St. Joseph Vaz. 

So at Benaulim beach, all you do is swim, sunbath, sit, get a nice tan, laze on the beach and relax. Nearby shacks offer you snacks and drinks as and when preferred and you don’t even have to bother about getting up from your comfort zone for , there are assistants roaming about to whom you can place the order of food or drink and it is brought to you.
